MC #1- Get Your Journaling On!

Welcome to the first Monthly Challenge of 2011.  With our busy schedules, we hope that having less challenges will make it easier for more participation in them.

Before getting to this challenge, I'd like to share who participated in the last challenge -- Denitza's BWC#6:

For some of us, journaling is not a challenge.  It comes naturally.  We enjoy it.  For others...it's pure pain.  For both parties, I have a challenge, and for most of us, this type of journaling is different than what we do normally.

Your challenge this month is to:

1. write your journaling to someone (i.e. the person the page is about); OR

2. use a long title which can stand alone as your journaling; OR

3. if you're feeling adventurous, do both!

Here's an example of a layout where I use both journaling to someone and a long title:

As is common in his first year album, my journaling is to my son.  Had I not included the journaling, the title -- "You are a silly happy sweet boy" -- could stand alone and still give a great idea as to the thoughts/feelings I have while looking at the photos on the page.

Here's another example where I use just a long title:

BWC #6 Scraplift the person in front of you.

So, find the last project you uploaded to the critique thread and see who was before you, scraplift that person's project. No rules and I hope every one is o.k. with scraplifting!! You all have two weeks from today! Get busy!

No one have responded to the previous BWC, but I hope we all get the juices flowing with Spring being just around the corner and all the creativity in the group!

BWC 5: The History of Me

Are you ready for some Scrapping? (sing to the tune of "Are you ready for some Football?".)I know we are a ways off for Football but that tune popped in my head when I went to enter the challenge. I know, I am a bit of an odd duck. :)

I apologize for saying there were not any posts to our last fun challenge of "Spring", personally, I am still thinking on that one.

Here is the challenge I am presenting to all of you:
The History of me.

This can be about you, from a baby to now, or about your parents, or your anchestors, whatever history you want to create in a LO. I know it can be a bit overwhelming to think in these terms but we all have a history and we can pick some highlights if necessary for the challenge.

I look forward to learning a bit more about all of you.

BWC No. 4: Spring Ahead!

I bet if you’re like me you’re so over this winter weather and you’re just longing for spring.  The nice weather, sweet smelling flowers, jelly beans… LOL.

So my challenge to you is to incorporate at least one “spring” item on your next project.  Some ideas could be a handmade flower or to use spring pastel colors, whatever you want, it’s up to you.  It could be a card, layout, ATC, journal page, etc.

Edited on 2/10/11 by Sharon -OK time to award the Sept-Dec participation RAK! I have reviewed Sept-Dec tRAKking & subjected it to my calculations. We had great consistent participation from Lisa & Michelle (Denitza was exempt from all this because she won the last RAK). But one member participate 100% each month, even surpassing that as she left extra credit critiques too. That member is...CHRIS!

BWC #3: Bird is the Word

For this challenge, you will create a layout using a word prompt. And the word is....

Not bird (I just have that song in my head! LOL)....

CHALLENGE.

You may interpret this in any way you wish... by basing your work on one (or several) challenges you are facing, learning a new technique and thereby CHALLENGING yourself, or any other way that you feel the word applies to you.
