Monthly Challenge #8 - December is Here!!!

Hi everyone.

Before I let you in on our next challenge, let’s give it up for Michelle who responded to MC #7- Happy Holiday’s - Michelle's Witch Hunt.

So December is here and everyone is getting ready for the holidays.

You may or may not be participating in December Daily 2011 {I am} but this is a cool challenge whether you use it for DD or just a regular layout.

The challenge is to scrap about your favorite Christmas shows/movies and my challenge is to have your pictures/title/embellishments/journaling just in one corner and leave a lot of negative space.

I'll be working on mine soon.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

Monthly Challenge #7: Happy Holidays

No, I'm not jumping the gun on Christmas. In fact, while shopping today I was somewhat sickened by the fact that stores are completely decorated and playing Christmas music already.

This challenge is to take any holiday paper, embellies, etc. and use them for something completely unrelated for the intended holiday. What made me think of this is that I have some really cool St. Patrick's Day paper that I've had for years because I don't celebrate the holiday. I thought it would be interesting to think outside the box. :)

September 2011 tRAKking

Here’s the TRAKking for September 2011. My cut-off date for late critiques was 10/21. Challenges were optional but I’m recognizing those who responded. Everyone’s # of LOs to critique is different (it’s the total # of LOs minus that person’s own contributions).  Extra LOs submitted count as "extra credit", so while someone may only have 4 LOs to critique (based on required submissions), they may, in actuality, have critiqued 6 and that is shown in my numbers.  (Confused yet?)  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Monthly Challenge #6: October TATTOO!

This month's challenge is about TATTOOs. Scrap a photo of a tattoo or a design inspired by a tattoo.

The word tattoo is said to have two major derivations from the polynesian word "ta" which means striking something and the tahitian word "tatao" which means to mark something. People have been tattooing themselves since 12,000 BC. The most famous tattoo subject over the centuries, has been the Dragon. Today tattoos are more accepted and popular than ever before, and many tattoos are now considered "fine art".

Now is your chance to show off those tattoos or be inspired by tattoo art. Old English is the most popular tattoo font and the top 10 tattoo these days are Tribal, Nautical Star, Cross, Angel, Wings, Maori, Dragon, Phoenix, Butterfly, and Fairy. Other popular tattoos you may have in your scrapbook collection of punches & stickers include hearts, flowers, flames, dragonfly, dolphins, fleur de lis, cupids, compass, birds, skulls.

This is a great subject to try your hand with puffy pens, mists, fine ink pens, stamping, and paper piercing. Have fun!
