My favorite quote is "The attempt is often painful, but the attempt is all we have" It's from a made for tv movie called "blue deville" it's been my fave since like 8th grade. I just think it's a true statement because I like it.

I also like "shhh.." Christopher Walken says it in the prophecy and it basically freezes the person in time...I think it would be a cool power to have

My Fave quote is,

"Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind"

The reason it's my fave is when I was younger (and even now at times) I was always really worried about what people thought of me. Not many got past the surface to know the real me, they only saw what I wanted them to. After a while it started really damaging my self esteem and helped cause a really dark period of my life. I've since then come to the realzation that not everyone is going to like me, nor like my brad of humor (scarcasm at it's finest) and even though I'm still not OK with it all the way, I've figured out that the people who are truly my freinds love me just the way I am, and don't care about my weird personality quirks. Those are the people I want to be around, and I'm though hiding who I am to please people who don't want to see me as I am.

These are great so far.

My favorite quotes change pretty frequently depending on what's going on in my life. Lately, I've had this one in my head (paraphrasing a little) "Everyday...you get to decide whether your toughness & regret will look like unreachable bitterness or unstoppable resilience; your tenderness the raw vulnerability of a never-healing wound, or a kindness so deep it heals every wound it touches." Everyone stumbles & has scar tissue in life...it's what you DO w/ that experience that helps determine what kind of life you lead. My sister lives w/ a mysterious autoimmune disease that struck her out of nowhere, rendering her unable to hold her BABY for years due to muscle deterioration...never has she come across as a "why me"/self-pitying person. I have so many inspirational people in my life to look up to, & I'm grateful for that. For me, when dealing w/ the past, there are hard moments, but I strive for the "unstoppable resilience & kindness so deep" in that quote all the time...

I also like "Be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem." 'Nuff said! :)

My current favorite is "Life isnt about waiting for the storm to pass, its about learning to dance in the rain"
I've commented before about how every time a difficult time would arise in my life I was the "Why Me?" type of person and how depressed & sad I was. It took a horrible car accident to show me that life is good, its not perfect and you have to work at being happy and eventually it will come naturally.

My long time favorite saying is "Give your children 2 things, one is roots, the other wings" This struck a chord with me because I had a very loving mother who also was too strict and overbearing. We're extremely close now and both realize mistakes we made when I was young and its ok.

Lastly, "How can I miss you when you never leave?" It still cracks me up when i see this. My first hubby was so controlling that it drove me to the brink of insanity! He was extremely suffocating and in the last year of our marriage, I used to tell him this all of the time!

Sorry I'm a little late with this... I love quotes. My favorite right now is the quote on my signature. "You can have it all, you just can't have it all at once" from Oprah Winfrey. I have to remind myself this all the time with regards to priorities in life.
