QueZZtion of the Week: September 14

I've been in a scrapbooking "lull" the past few months... just no desire to scrap (believe it or not). Has this ever happened to you? How did you get out of it?

I confess that I've never had a scrapping lull... I've gone through times when I wasn't able to scrap due to practical reasons (moving, obligations etc) but I haven't gone through a period yet when I just didn't want to scrap. I'm interested to see what others post here about this.

I do know when I have scrapper's block, either doing a challenge or attempting a scrap lift can help. Perhaps that's an idea for those in a scrap lull? Or maybe thinking about something paper related but not a LO (like art journal pages or altering an item)? Just some thoughts...

Good luck w/ your scrapping lull, Janet...maybe this is just the calm before a scrapping storm! :)

I can relate to how you feel, I get like that sometimes but I've never have gotten to the point where it lasts for months. Sometimes I have tons of projects and I come home and just don't want to look at them. Something that helps me is looking at other scrappers blogs. One day I was looking at The Everyday Scrapper's blog and she had a list of her favorite sites and I started looking at them. Looking at other peoples work, seeing all the beautiful layouts and altered items gets my creative juices flowing. Something else that might help is looking at some scrapbook magazines and page layout maps. Maybe if you have a page map to use you won't have to think about how to put it together, you can just focus on the creative side of the layout. Hope this helps and you get out of your slump soon :D

I get like that pretty often, where just kinda feel blah and don't want to even play with my supplies. Luckily though it only last a few days to maybe 2 weeks tops, and I'm able to get back into the swing of things and have fun with it again.

scrapping lulls are a way of life.
I have been experiencing this big time recently because I took on too large of a project (22 pages at once).
How to get out of it... just be patient and when you feel like scrapping...scrap.
