MC#10 - Christmas Card Scraplift
Christmas is right around the corner, and, if you're anything like me this year, you haven't even begun your Christmas cards! Sigh. What happened to the days of having them completed in April??

MC 9 - November 2012
I am so sorry for the late Challenge post for November. I hope it is worth it. I have been thinking about the seasons with Fall being here and the Holidays around the corner. I starting thinking about traditions we have for the holidays. So, I am thinking a good challenge would be...pick a holiday tradition that you currently do OR one you would like to do and scrap about it. It can be for any Holiday, pick your favorite or pick the one you like the least and try to make it exciting by creating a tradition. Try not to be too traditional in your scrapping style too.
That is all folks.

MC 8 - SHCG Member Lift
Posting this for Marlene - My challenge is to go into the gallery of one of the Scrap HappenZZ Critique Group members and lift one of your favorite layouts that they have done. When you're done, share your layout and a link to the layout that you lifted. Happy Scrapping

Monthly Challenge 7: Are you ready for some football?
With the college season underway and the pro season about to start, I have football fever! Football is just one of the reasons that fall is my favorite season... cooler weather, sweatshirts, harvest time... all things I am looking forward to. For this challenge, make a LO about what you are looking forward to this fall.
I will be going to an Iowa Hawkeyes game later this month... can't wait to scrap that!

Monthly Challenge #5: Bloghop Challenge
We all still have to face the music, Ammara's challenge, that is. Until one of us takes out our earbuds and turns up the volume, we march to the beat of another month's challenge. Let's spread some noise as we go bloghopping through June. Pick one of your favorite blogs that you'd like to share with your SHizztas. Find a challenge or technique within the blog that is to your liking, past or present. Use that challenge or technique to inspire a response, whether it's a layout or another scrafty project. Post your response to our layout thread, and be sure to share the link to the blog's challenge within your description. By the end of the month we could have some new favorite links to bookmark, as well as some submissions we might want to vote into our gallery faves. Here's a blog to get you hopping. Come back with some scrafty souvenirs of your web wanderlust. How's that for a staycation to kick off your summer?

MC # 4 - May 2012
Hi Everyone!
First of all I'm sorry for posting this up a little bit late.
I'd like to also give a shout out to the only response to last month's challenge MC 3 "What he/she said" - Jesse's "So a blonde and a redhead walk into a phone booth... "

Moving onto this month's challenge..

Moving onto this month's challenge..
Music is so much a part of many of our lives, it's also a major part of setting the mood in a movie clip or TV scene. Lately I noticed how some TV shows like to name their episodes after a song or even end with a song that goes along with the theme of the episode. Translating that to scrapbooking I'd like to see you use either the title of a song, or lyrics of a song to set the mood for your layout. The song lyrics can be used as your layout title or in your journaling- that's completely up to you.
Looking forward to seeing how the song lyrics fit in with your pages!

MC#3 - April 2012
So it's time for me to post the next MC (Monthly Challenge)! Margaret didn't post the March one so this is the first since February...
First, let's hear it for the one challenge response posted, Chris' response to MC #2 - Right Now. Check it out if you haven't already!
v Right Now: Words, Jan 2012 (*SHCG MC #2*) By CMLeach
Now, onto your challenge:
MC #3/April 2012 - X-Rated & Offensive: Your challenge this month is to go deep within (heh naughty pun) & scrap something so shocking & explicit you can hardly even upload it. This LO can be about you, someone you know, a celebrity or something completely concocted from your own twisted & crazed mind. I want lurid details, indecent photos (nudity strongly encouraged) & language as offensive as you can get! Our ultimate aim is to see who can get contacted by scrapbook.com first for violating the site's terms of use. Bonus points if your membership gets yanked completely. We will figure a way to get your membership reinstated. Hopefully!
Don't hold back - remember, our goal is to get in trouble with scrapbook.com.

April Fool's Day. (It's after midnight here in NYC)
Okay here's your REAL MC #3/April 2012 - "What He/She Said"
Your challenge this month is centered on quotes. Scrap a LO where the title and/or the journaling is a quote by the subject matter, e.g. instead of a photo caption saying "Here's Cousin Susie trying on wedding dresses" the journaling would be "OMG I can't believe I'm about to be a mermaid princess bride!" (what Cousin Susie is or would've been saying). The quote does NOT necessarily have to be a factual quote the subject said in real life, just something they could be saying given the events depicted. So yes you can make something up if the page depicts your dog or baby! An alternate take to this challenge: scrap about a quote that particularly resonates with you.
Have FUN! Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Oh & if any of you DO want to respond to the X-Rated & Offensive challenge, feel free to! Just be sure to BLUR your LO (or share it to memberzz privately)...I certainly do NOT want any of us to raise any negative attention w/ sb.com!! (Brenda, Jesse & I were part of a naughty circle journal group in the past, anytime I uploaded anything to the gallery I made SURE that I did the necessary censoring to keep from ruffling any powers-that-be feathers). LOL!

MC #2 - Right Now
Forgive my lateness in posting the February Monthly Challenge.
As Little Man grows up, I've been learning that a) scrapbooking is easier to do because he's easier to occupy,, b) I have a PLETHORA of photos I love but have no real association to anything worthy of scrapping on it's own and c) I need to scrap more in the here-and-now.
That all being said, I sat down earlier this year after writing a list of all the words kiddo was saying, and I scrapped it...Right THEN (well, okay, then being after he went down for his nap). I then left the layout somewhere I had access to it for the remainder of the day and proceeded to add additional words to it that I had missed on the earlier list.
Here's that layout, Right Now: Words -
So here is your challenge:Scrap something RIGHT NOW. Scrap a moment in the present. Project Lifers, you have an advantage here. Include "Right Now" in your title.
Ideas for this challenge would be like my above words list, also little funny quips your kid(s), family, friends, co-workers may have said today. Scrap it before you forget it!

December 2011 tRAKking
Here’s the TRAKking for December 2011. My cut-off date for late critiques was 1/17/2012. Challenges were optional but I’m recognizing those who responded. Everyone’s # of LOs to critique is different (it’s the total # of LOs minus that person’s own contributions). Extra LOs submitted count as "extra credit", so while someone may only have 6 LOs to critique (based on required submissions), they may, in actuality, have critiqued 9 and that is shown in my numbers. (Confused yet?) Please let me know if you have any questions.
There were 5 required submissions.

MC 1- Jan 2012 Challenge
I am so sorry this is a bit late on posting but here is the first challenge for the NEW year.
Scrap a LO using a NEW technique (one that you have never done or one that you have been dying to try out), or a NEW style (for you, scraplifting is a great option here), this can include using some NEW "tool" to create a LO.
I hope this expands our horizons on what NEW LO's we can create with our wonderful minds.
My bad, very bad on not acknowledging the MC Response to #8, December is Here -
Brenda's Top 3 Christmas Films. Very cute LO.
